Joan Hudson

Joan Hudson is a Litigation Paralegal with the firm’s Fort Lauderdale Office. Joan received her Certification in Paralegal Studies from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. Joan’s prior litigation experience includes assisting in the defense of medical malpractice and personal injury cases including pre-suit claims and litigation. Joan also has experience with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training.

At La Cava Jacobson & Goodis, Joan works primarily on medical malpractice cases and is responsible for all aspects of case management from pre-suit through trial preparation including, but not limited to, conferring with clients, expert witnesses, responding to discovery, conducting background research, review of records, creating summaries ,and medical chronologies.

A native of Jamaica, Joan is a US Citizen and has worked in the legal industry for over 25 years, both in Atlanta, Georgia, and Fort Lauderdale. Joan is a Notary Public and enjoys volunteering at church in her spare time.
