Timothy P. Lewis

Tim Lewis is a Partner in the West Palm Beach office.  He is a former Traffic Homicide Investigator who has investigated thousands of traffic crashes, as well as a former Detective in the Organized Crime, Vice and Narcotics Unit of the Palm Beach Police Department.  He also worked in the Crime Scene Unit of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office investigating violent crimes and he was selected to attend the FBI’s Homicide Investigation School.  Tim also worked for the United States Customs Service conducting drug interdiction and human trafficking investigations into the United States.

Tim graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business.  He later attended the University of Notre Dame Law School and graduated in 1999.  Tim’s practice and trial experience has been defending companies from General Liability claims throughout the State of Florida.  Those claims involved wrongful death and personal injury claims, premise liability claims, traffic crashes, construction injury and defect claims, legal and medical malpractice claims.  He has travelled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Central America in defense of those actions.

Tim formed specialized rapid response teams for several large clients which involved experienced attorneys responding to sudden and after hour incidents with expert witnesses to assess the incident, gather evidence, photograph and film the scene and conduct witness interviews.  This resulted in having greater evidence to assess liability in advance of a potential lawsuit.

Tim has successfully tried dozens of cases throughout Florida.  He is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States Supreme Court Bar, the 11^th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida and the Palm Beach County Bar.  He also serves on the Board of Trustees for two charitable foundations in Florida and Washington, D.C.
