Jason M. Azzarone
Jason M. Azzarone was born in Paterson, New Jersey. He graduated magna cum laude from the William Paterson University in 1993. He graduated cum laude from University of Miami School of Law in 1998, where he served on the Moot Court Board. He then went on to become an associate and partner with Stephens, Lynn, Klein, La Cava & Puya in their Miami and Tampa offices, where he litigated for eleven years.
Mr. Azzarone was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998 and is admitted to the U.S. District Court, Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Azzarone concentrates his practice in appellate law and has handled appeals in every Florida District Court of Appeal and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. As part of his appellate practice, Mr. Azzarone provides litigation and trial support for the firm’s clients at the trial court level by preparing and arguing motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, motions in opposition to punitive damages, Daubert motions, motions in limine, post-trial motions and by attending trial.
Mr. Azzarone also represents clients in the areas of professional malpractice, premises liability and general liability claims. Mr. Azzarone has also been involved in representing clients in defending bad faith actions against insurance companies as well as administrative actions initiated with the Agency for Health Care Administration, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Department of Health.
Mr. Azzarone has given lectures on the topics of automobile liability, premises liability, ethics for Insurance Adjusters, persuasive motion and brief writing, admissibility of evidence, challenging expert opinions, creative use of motions in limine and admissibility of electronically stored information and social media posting.
